My body in the repair shop

So it has been a long time since I put any words to paper so I figured it was overdue. There has been a lot of life happening and I must admit it has made my life more than stressful. As you may know my house owns me. It has required LOTS of my time, efforts, money and did I mention time.

Well it appears as though my body is not liking all the events and activities I have been involved in. A few weeks ago I developed "floaty's" in my right eye. I went to the eye doc and the diagnosis is "your getting older" gee thanks.

Then a week later I noticed I was loosing feelings on my left side or my face above the upper jaw. I talked to many folks and and the range of "causes" were amazing. Stroke, blood clots, MS etc, etc, etc. They all had one thing in common. They all suggested I see the doctor immediately.
So off I went. I saw my general practitioner and he asked a few questions and promptly sent me off to get my blood drawn and get my brain scanned. Both more or less painless just time consuming.

So I took the scans immediately following the scan which was amazing I could even do. What I saw was Greek but I am really good at spotting things that are different from other things. I notice something in my nasal passages that was not suppose to be there.

Now here is the problem I am having. I visited a neurologist and he looked at the scans and ruled out the nasal "thing" as he was not a specialist in that specific area of the head. This doctor was a specialist in central nervous things, so guess what he found. I am now scheduled to get a spinal tap and an EEG so this doctor can confirm the diagnosis of MS.

I am not there yet. I am now seeking the opinion of another "specialist" this one looks at ears, nose and throat issues. I want to know what this thing is that should not be there. Is it me or do all doctors ignore the obvious unless it is their "specialty".

My lesson here. If you take your car to a repair shop and you talk to the transmission guy about your car missing at 45 mph it is a fair bet he will be thinking about the fix being in the transmission. Only after they rule the transmission out will they look at the rest of the car for a solution. I am not a cat. I think doctors should look at the big picture and not dismiss other obvious things because it is not in their specialty.

So I will be seeing the ENT doc soon. I will still be getting the spinal tap and the EEG to verify my transmission is not the fault. It is just unfortunate that as of now my face is still numb. There is still something in my face that should not be there and I can not get a doctor to look at the whole picture. More to follow stay tuned
